Murad orders KE to fix its system.

KARACHI -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday took notice of the city's situation in the wake of prolonged loadshedding and ordered the K-Electric to fix its system.

He also asked Energy Minister Imtiaz Sheikh to hold talks with the power utility to contain the ongoing crisis in the metropolis.

A statement issued from the CM House said that Mr Shah asked the minister to convey to the company that prolonged loadshedding was creating a law and order situation in the city.

'K-Electric should fix its system. How many difficulties will the masses further bear,' he asked.

'Shortfall reaches 500MW'

On the other hand, a KE spokesman said that amid growing demand due to extreme weather conditions, the shortfall had increased up to 500 megawatts.
