MPA Barrister Hasnain Mirza slams water crisis in tail-end areas of Badin.

BADIN -- Tando Bago MPA and parliamentary leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance in the Sindh Assembly, Barrister Hasnain Mirza on Sunday took strong exception to the irrigation water crisis that has hit most tail-end areas in district Badin since the past several months.

Barrister Mirza in a statement deplored the fact that despite ample water at Kotri Barrage, the tail-end areas of Badin district have been without water even for drinking purposes adding that those at the helm of affairs were bent upon destroying Sindh's agricultural sector.

He also accused SIDA and Irrigation Department employees of willfully depriving the farmers of water in Tando Bago, Golarchi and Badin talukas of their due share of water in their water canals and outlets.
