MoU inked to operate 48 fire tenders, two bowsers provided by the Federal Govt: Administrator Karachi.

KARACHI -- Administrator Karachi Laeeq Ahmed on Monday said that Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with different organizations to operate 48 fire tenders and two bowzers provided by federal government to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

"These organizations would set up 14 fire stations and would rescue in any untoward situation," the Administrator passed these remarks while talking to media after reviewing encroachment removal operations held earlier at Shahabuddin market here.

Ahmed said that the KMC was provided fire tenders and two bowsers, asking the Sindh government to permit new hirings in Fire Brigade department as they will be needing young blood to operate these tenders and bowsers.

The Administrator said that 24 fire tenders and two bowsers would be operated by KMC, while Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry, Site Association of Industry, Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry, Site Super Highway Association of Industry, Landhi Association of Trade and Industry, Export Processing Zone Authority, Bin Qasim Industry Park, Sailani Welfare Trust and Pakistan Rangers Sindh would have two fire tenders each.
