Motorway police arrest five 'robbers'.

TAXILA -- The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) apprehended five persons allegedly involved in robberies in Taxila, Wah, Hassanabdal, Attock and Haripur.

According to a police spokesman, the gang, consisting of women, posed themselves as commuters and offered lift to passengers especially those waiting for public transport on GT Road and then robbed them of gold ornaments, cash and mobile phones.

On Monday, the gang while travelling in a van offered lift to two women identified as Mehreen Mumtaz and Aysia Bibi who were waiting for public transport near Burhan and at gunpoint snatched cash and jewellery from them and then dropped them near Lawrencepur.
