RAWALPINDI -- Road closures on the second day of Azadi March's sit-in near Peshawar Mor kept the Islamabad life paralysed on Friday.

The closure of Kashmir Highway and Islamabad Expressway near Faizabad during the last two days restricted the movement of people especially those who were coming from Rawalpindi to their offices in Islamabad.

The educational institutions were partially closed in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Though the government and private offices remained open, attendance was thin and the officials who somehow made it to their offices had to take long routes.

A senior official of the local administration was of the view that the protest was in the limits of Islamabad, therefore, it was the responsibility of federal government to deal with the situation.
