More rain expected in Lahore today.

LAHORE -- Rain accompanied by cool breeze in the city brought the mercury further down but cleared fog on Sunday.

The Met Office says the rain spell will continue for the next 24 hours.

There was a drizzle in most areas of the city except Shadman, Abbott Road, The Mall, Johar Town areas, which received showers.

The rain and accompanying winds blowing at 5-10km per hour dropped the temperature down to 8 degrees Celsius in the evening.

The showers removed thick fog that had blanketed the provincial capital in the last three days, led to restoration of flights at the Allama Iqbal Airport and opening of the motorways for traffic. Fog will, however, return to haunt the motorists after three days, says the weather report.
