More protest rallies held against inflation, flour crisis.

LAKKI MARWAT -- More protest rallies were held in different cities on Sunday against price inflation and shortage of wheat flour.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers took out a rally in Domel area of Bannu, which converged at the Link Road Chowk. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against inflation.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI leaders, including Halimzada Khan Wazir, tehsil council chairman Malik Israr Khan and others held the Pakistan Democratic Movement-run federal government responsible for unbearable price hike.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl workers also took out a rally in Bannu city to record their protest against shortage of wheat flour and inflation.

The rally appeared from Hinjal Gate and converged in front of the press club building after passing through different bazaars.

In Lakki Marwat, the JUI-F workers held a demonstration against price hike at Kargil Chowk.

MPA Munawar Khan, Marwat Qaumi Jirga head Haji Mohammad Aslam Khan and others held the provincial government responsible for surge in prices of flour and other essential items.

In Haripur, Jamaat-i-Islami workers on Sunday took out a rally against inflation.

The rally started from Chowk Sheran Wala Gate and ended at Chowk Siddiq-i-Akbar.

The speakers criticised the federal and provincial governments for their failure in providing relief to the public and added inflation in daily use items, especially wheat flour, pulses and vegetables, had made life of common man difficult.

They said both the PTI and PDM had brought the country to the verge of default.

In Dera Ismail Khan, Jamaat workers held a protest rally against skyrocketing prices of wheat flour and other essential commodities.
