More doctors, paramedics among Covid-19 cases.

MIANWALI -- Five people, including a police head-constable and two paramedics, tested positive for Covid-19 in Mianwali.

The positive cases include one paramedic of Kundian THQ and Mianwali DHQ hospitals each, a head-constable of traffic police and two persons from the suburb of Mianwali, and all of them are under treatment at the Isolation ward of the DHQ Hospital.

Focal person for the Health Department Dr Mohammad Kashif told Dawn a few days ago, doctors and the district administration were happy when the isolation ward saw off the last coronavirus patient of the district.

BAHAWALPUR: Salamat Ali, a suspect of coronavirus, who expired on Sunday, has been declared a negative case.

Covid-19 focal person Dr Zakir Hussain told Dawn that after the receipt of the test result, the body was handed over to his family, who took it to Dunyapur for burial.

Salamat was admitted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Saturday. The deceased was also a chronic patient of asthma and diabetes.

As his condition was serious, he was put on ventilators and he expired on Sunday evening.

His body was withheld by the health authorities till the receipt of result from the lab.

KASUR: Four officials of a private bank at Noor Masjid Chowk tested positive for Covid-19.
