More Covid-19 cases reported in Attock.

TAXILA -- Two more cases of Covid-19 reported on Monday have brought Attock's total to 61.

According to data updated and shared by the district administration, a 65-year-old woman who lives in the Jatail village in Hazro has tested positive for Covid-19. Her husband had previously tested positive and is being treated at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Hospital in Kamra.

A 22-year-old police constable in training at district police lines in Attock has also been diagnosed with Covid-19, and police authorities have been screening and testing all the police officials deployed for security duties at 14 quarantine facilities across the district.

The man has been moved to a quarantine centre, and the woman has been taken to the same hospital as her husband.

The district focal person for Covid-19 Dr Asif Arbab Niazi said that 4,516 people have been tested in the areaso far. He said the number of suspected patients screened has reached 1,604, of which 1,278 have tested negative and the results of 265 people have not been received.

He said 33 people have recovered so far. A traffic police official and two of his relatives tested negative and were discharged from a Fatehjang quarantine facility on Monday after making a fully recovery.
