More cases surface in Taxila.

TAXILA -- Seven more people, including four minors, tested positive on Wednesday, taking the number of people infected with the virus to 56.

Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Faheem said two of the new patients were admitted to different health centres and seven home quarantined.

Out of the 56 positive patients in city, he said, 12 were home quarantined, seven under treatment at POF Hospital Wah, six at the tehsil headquarters hospital Taxila, two each in local hospitals and Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi and one at Wah General Hospital. Besides, 20 were discharged after recovery while four patients died of the disease.

Mr Faheem said the number of suspected cases in the city had increased to 496.

He said samples of 390 were sent to laboratories and 173 of them tested negative and results of 196 were awaited.

Attock

The number of confirmed Covid-19 patients increased to 70 in Attock after one new case was reported in the on Wednesday.

According to data updated by district administration, out of 70 confirmed cases 40 have so far recovered and discharged from isolation wards while three died.
