Mohmand Dam affectees vow to continue protests till acceptance of demands.

GHALLANAI -- The tribes in Mohmand tribal district affected by Mohmand Dam have announced to continue protests till they are duly compensated for their lands. They said they will never allow anyone to usurp their lands. They demanded the district administration to take notice of the matter before the situation goes out of hand. These views were expressed by tribal elders during a Jirga in Mohmand district which was addressed by the Awami National Party (ANP) lawmaker Nisar Mohmand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district president Naveed Khan, general secretary Qari Rahim Shah, Malik Itbar Gul, Malik Rahim Shah, Mushtaq Khan, Arif, Farhad Ali and others. Participants of the Jirga said the rights of the Mohmand tribe must be accepted in accordance with the 1951 letter.
