LAHORE -- Modern curricula and teaching techniques must be used to improve education, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi said on Thursday at the closing ceremony of the three-day International Conference on Research in Education-22, which had as its topic 'Transforming Teaching for 21st Century Needs'.

In order for students to learn more, according to Dr Zaidi, they should be allowed to ask questions freely during class.

He said universities should design their curricula to meet the demands of the market and society.

Education, according to Dr Rafaqat, is a catalyst for personality growth and the creation of a civilised community.
