Mob ransacks restaurant after waiters beat up two passers-by.

KARACHI -- Police on Saturday registered a case against over two-dozen suspects on charges of ransacking a restaurant on Tipu Sultan Road.

East-SSP, Zubair Nazeer Shaikh said that some employees of the Angeethi restaurant were playing cricket on the road when the ball hit two young passers-by. They exchanged words with each other and later restaurant's waiters beat up the passers-by.

The two youths went home and brought with them over 20 friends. Armed with sticks, they attacked the restaurant, ransacked it and injured one employee. Later, they escaped on motorcycles.

A video of the attack on the restaurant also went viral on social media.
