MNA survives grenade attack in Bajaur.

KHAR -- The house of PTI MNA Gul Zafar Khan was attacked with hand grenades in Gatki village of Bajaur tribal district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

However, the lawmaker and his family members remained unhurt.

The residents and police officials said the attackers hurled two hand grenades on the premises with one falling in the yard of the lawmaker's house and the other in the adjacent hujra of his uncle.

They said the attack was carried out two hours after the MNA reached home.

The residents said the lawmaker had no enmity but he had received death threats from unidentified people few weeks ago.

When contacted, DPO Pir Shahab Ali Shah said a team of police personnel reached the MNA's house immediately after the attack and examined the premises.

He said the lawmaker had been provided with more than one dozen personnel of police and Levies for own and house security since his election in July 2018 but he didn't know how many of them were present on duty at the time of attack.

The DPO said the police had registered the first information report before beginning investigation to trace attackers.

No group has claimed responsibly for the attack.
