Mixed media works by 14 artists showcased.

ISLAMABAD -- Artworks created by 14 young teachers from the National College of Arts (NCA) using varying colours and techniques have been showcased at an exhibition. Inaugural ceremony of the exhibition titled Missing Links was held on Thursday night.

The works of Shehzad Tanveer, Abdul Razzaq, Alibaba, Ismail Arbab, Hina Afzal, Hadiqa Amir, Kanwal Tariq, Karan Saleem, Mahrukh Bajwa, Maisam Hussain, Naseem Siddiqui, Rida Fatima, Syeda Sidra Fatima and Zobia Yaqub.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for Education Rana Tanvir Hussain and Ambassador of the Czech Republic Thomas Smitnka as special guests.

On the occasion, Mr Hussain said that the exhibition had best reflected the culture and history of Pakistan.

'Higher education is one of our priorities. The government has increased the budget for higher education,' he added. He appreciated that fact that NCA was generating its income, a model that other such establishments needed to follow.
