Ministry notifies FBISE promotion criteria.

ISLAMABAD -- The Ministry of Federal Education notified the promotion criteria prepared by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) in accordance with the recently-approved policy of the government.

The ministry after approving the criteria directed FBISE to implement it after getting approval by its board of governors (BOG). Now, after BOG approval, the FBISE will start process of issuing mark sheets to students of secondary and higher secondary schools, who were declared pass recently in accordance with the new policy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

At a time when some universities had already announced admissions, the students were eagerly waiting to get their mark sheets for applying for admissions.

The notification issued by the education ministry made available with Dawn dated June 16 stated that the ministry agrees with the promotion criteria prepared by FBISE in line with Inter Board Committee Chairmen (IBCC) guidelines.

'FBISE should notify and implement proposed promotion criteria after approval by its BOG,' read the notification.
