Metro bus authorities warn of safety issues.

RAWALPINDI -- The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA), which is responsible for the metro bus service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad, has warned that it will have to suspend the bus service and will face security issues if the venue for the Azadi March is not changed.

According to sources, the stage for speakers and other leaders of the march will be set up within the premises of the metro bus depot, because of which the authority will not be able to continue operations.

If the venue remains unchanged, the metro bus authorities will have to suspend the service and vacate a major portion of its workshops and remove its buses. The authorities have shared their concerns regarding the safety of their buses, warehouse and passengers with the administrations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
