Mepco panel to probe overbilling plaints.

BAHAWALPUR -- Multan Electric Power Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mahar Allah Yar Bharwana has ordered an inquiry into the consumers' complaints about overbilling in three divisions of Khanpur, Liquatpur and Sadiqabad of Rahim Yar Khan.

According to Mepco PRO Jamshed Niazi, the CEO taking notice of complaints has formed a three-member committee headed by the superintending engineer (SE) Rahim Yar Khan.

Other members are Rahim Yar Khan divisional commercial manager and deputy director (technical).

Talking to Dawn by telephone, Niazi said the CEO announced that strict action would be taken against the Mepco officials found involved in excessive billing.
