Mega cricket event in Karachi - Naya Nazimabad's opening move.

A mega event was organized by Naya Nazimabad last week to welcome the Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Since the launch of Pakistan Super League (PSL), it is now a tradition that every year Naya Nazimabad organizes an event to send off Karachi Kings when they go to play in PSL. This time there was a change as Quetta Gladiators also joined the party adding the flavor of foreign players as well.

Stage was set to welcome the marvelous stars of international cricket. All the guests including the participants were too curious to welcome their heroes. A warm welcome was given by the crowd when the teams of Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators arrived at Naya Nazimabad. Owner of the Karachi Kings, Mr. Salman Iqbal, Owner of the Quetta Gladiators, Mr. Nadeem Owner, Wasim Akram, Dean Jones, Moin Khan, Alex Hales, Babar Azam, Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mitch McClenaghan, Chadwick Walton, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shane Watson, Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Hasnain, Ahsan Ali, Naseem Shah, Sohail Khan, Tymal Mills and others were also present to grace the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by the Governor Sindh, Federal Ministers, parliamentarians, Mayor Karachi, Commissioner Karachi, National players along with Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), government officials and a large number of cricket lovers at Naya Nazimabad.

Mr. Arif Habib, Chairman of the Group, welcomed all the guests and praised the dedication and commitment shown by the teams of Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Moreover, he also prayed for their success. He wished that any of the both teams especially Karachi Kings could lift the trophy this time to make Karachi people feel proud.

Honorable Governor Sindh, Mr. Imran Ismail applauded the efforts of Naya Nazimabad especially Mr. Arif Habib to host such an event and emphasized the local administration to make such arrangement so that crowd could come in large number and enjoy the matches in a hassle-free environment. He also appreciated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its management to organize the entire tournament in Pakistan.
