Measures to improve municipal services in south Punjab.

BAHAWALPUR -- The South Punjab Local Government and Community Development (LG and CD) department has announced measures to improve the municipal services, especially the sanitation system, in the 18 districts of south Punjab.

This was stated by South Punjab Secretary for Local Government and Community Development Syed Mubashir Hussain. After assuming charge of his office here on Thursday, the secretary spoke to the officials and visited vegetable market and the offices of the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company (BWMC) in the city besides other local government departments.

He directed the officials to increase the number of field staff to resolve the problems of sanitation, sewerage and water supply.
