Man shot dead in Miramshah.

MIRAMSHAH -- The incidents of targeted killing continued in North Waziristan tribal district as another person was shot dead here in Miramshah on Wednesday.

Police said that the incident occurred near a vehicles showroom on Miramshah bypass road. The victim was identified as Mohammad Ayaz. A police official said that Ayaz was sitting outside the showroom when unidentified persons fired at him.

Mr Ayaz received bullet injuries. He died on the spot. The attackers also fired shots in the air before leaving the scene. The body of the deceased was shifted to district headquarters hospital in Miramshah.

The incidents of targeted killing continued in the tribal district as unidentified attackers killed seven people during the last few days.

Meanwhile, clash between two groups over a piece of land in Tappi village near Mirrali left 21 people wounded. The injured people were shifted to hospitals in Mirali and Miramshah while two seriously wounded persons were referred to Peshawar. Police said that dispute over property between the families of Malik Rab Nawaz and Malik Mushtaq resulted in the clash. Supporters of both the families attacked each others with knives, axes and sticks that resulted in fatal injuries to 21 people.
