Man shot dead by robbers.

KARACHI -- A man was gunned down by suspected robbers for putting up resistance to a robbery bid in North Nazimabad late on Thursday night, said police.

They added that armed robbers tried to snatch cash and other valuables from Ahmed Zakir, 38, in Block-D, North Nazimabad. When he put up resistance, the alleged robbers opened fire on him and fled.

The man sustained critical bullet wounds and was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
