Man shot dead, brother injured by rivals.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- A man was shot dead on Tuesday and his younger brother was injured seriously when their opponents opened fire on their vehicle on Jhang Road.

As per the first information report (FIR) registered by Gojra Saddar police, Zakaullah Randhawa and his younger brother Enayatullah Randhawa were going to Gojra from their village Chak 435-JB by a pick-up van.

When they reached near Chak 431-JB, their rival Akram, his two sons Abid Mahmood, Zahid Mahmood and their four accomplices, armed with Kalashnikoves and other modern weapons allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle.

As a result, both the brothers were critically wounded. They were being shifted to Gojra Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) when Zakaullah succumbed to his injuries. Enayatullah was referred by doctors to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital, given his serious condition.

The police registered a case against the seven suspects, four of them unidentified, on the complaint of Sarfraz Randhawa, brother of the deceased. The complainant said they were in litigation over property with the suspects.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
