Man shoots mugger to death in Korangi.

KARACHI -- A citizen managed to kill a suspected robber and wounded his accomplice after they snatched cash from him at gunpoint in Korangi on Monday.

The Zaman Town police said that two suspects riding a motorbike snatched cash and other valuables from a pedestrian, later identified as Waqas, in the Korangi area. When they were fleeing, the citizen pulled out his licensed pistol and fired at them. As a result, one suspect was killed and his accomplice was wounded.

Later, Waqas reached the Zaman Town police station and presented his licensed pistol to the police for checking and investigation purpose.

The police said they seized two pistols and one motorbike from the suspects. Their identity could not be ascertained till late in the night.

Man held for killing son in Cattle Colony

A young man was shot dead allegedly by his father over some domestic matter in the Sukkan area on Monday, according to police.

They added that Gul Hasan, 26, was killed by Mohammed Yusuf inside their home in Peerwan Goth located on Road No 12 of Cattle Colony.
