Man kills sister, husband `for honour` in Swabi.

SWABI -- A man shot dead his sister and her husband for marrying without the family`s consent here on Sunday, police said.

Registering FIR in Chota Lahor police station, a complainant said he was informed by the locals that his granddaughter and a relative, a resident of Habibzai area of Mohmand tribal district, had been killed and their bodies were lying in the fields.

He told police that a few days ago his granddaughter had left the house and married the man from Mohmand without the family`s consent. The police registered a case against brother of the deceased girl.

Chota Lahor SHO Shafiq Ahmad said they had arrested the accused and recovered a Kalashnikov from him.

Meanwhile, Alam Sher, a resident of Maneri Payyan, got registered an FIR in the Swabi city police st ation, reporting that Mehboob Khan and Abdul Wali Khan forced their way into Qamar Khan`s house and started firing on the inmates,injuring his brother, Asad Khan and his mother.

He said his mother succumbed to injuries in the district headquarters hospital. He told police that cause of the incident was an old enmity.
