Man killed by 'bike-snatchers' in Shah Latif Town.

KARACHI -- A young man was shot dead by alleged robbers over putting up resistance to a bike-snatching attempt in Shah Latif Town off National Highway on Sunday, said police.

Area SHO Ubaidullah Khan said that alleged robbers riding a motorbike tried to snatch a motorcycle from Jehanzeb, 30, in Pir Sarhandi Goth. When he put up resistance, the suspects opened fire on him and fled with his motorcycle.

The killers abandoned their motorbike and took away Jehanzeb's motorcycle.

Later on it transpired that the abandoned two-wheeler had also been snatched from someone within the remit of the Bin Qasim Town police station.

The young man who suffered a bullet wound in his abdomen was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The police are investigating the incident.
