Man injured in clash over Aitkaf.

SWABI -- A man was injured when he was attacked by his cousins after a row over a place of sitting for Aitkaf in a local mosque here on Thursday, said police.

The firing incident occurred inside a mosque in Gar village of Maneri Bala in the limits of Swabi police station.

Eyewitnesses said that as they sat for Aitkaf in the main Gar mosque, the cousins clashed over selection of space for the 10-day sitting and threatened each other with dire consequences.

Later, they brought guns and opened fire on each other. As a result, Fazil Khan was seriously injured and taken to Bacha Khan hospital. He later registered an FIR against Aftab Khan, Said Rahim, Sher Hassan, Irfan Khan and Shahid Khan.

Meanwhile, a man was killed in a road accident in Gadoon Amazai region on Thursday.
