Man held in honour killing case.

SHANGLA -- District police officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada claimed on Wednesday that the police had resolved a blind murder case by arresting a man along with three accomplices for killing his nephew for honour.

Addressing a press conference at his office, he said a local resident had reported to the Alpuri police that his nephew had committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol. However, he said after the medical report of the deceased came out the police suspected his version and registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and began further investigation.

DPO Sahibzada said during investigation employing modern technology, the police interrogated the family members, including the person, who had reported the case to the police. He said widow of the slain told the police that she was threatened by her husband's maternal uncle, the complainant in the case, and his sons if she informed the police about her husband's murder.

The DPO said the police arrested the main suspect, who confessed to killing his nephew for having an affair with his daughter.
