Man held for killing child during rape attempt.

KASUR -- A team of the Kasur police claimed on Sunday to have arrested the man who killed an eight-year-old boy during rape attempt at Nafees Colony two weeks ago.

Police on June 15 recovered the body of Muhammad Boota, 8, from a car parked at a private parking lot at Nafees Colony. The body was recovered three days after the boy went missing and initial medical report suggested that the collarbone of the victim was broken.

Police claimed that the man had confessed his crime.

Regional Police Officer Shahid Javid said the blind murder of Boota, 8, was a challenge for police. He said the suspect, Waseem, was a vendor and sold ice balls in the locality. He lured the child by offering him free ice balls and attempted rape him in...
