Man arrested for assaulting teenage girl in Haripur.

HARIPUR -- The police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a teenage girl in a remote village of Sera-i-Nehmat Khan union council, officials said on Monday.

Saddar police officials quoted a 17-year-old girl from Ainpur Paswal village as saying that she was at home on Sunday afternoon when Israr Ali from the same locality, called her on her mobile phone requesting her to come to his home for an important family matter.

The girl said when she reached Ali's house he was alone there and dragged her to a room and raped her.

The accused, according to the victim, took her to an adjacent home and locked her there for some time, threatening her of consequences if she shared her ordeal to anyone.
