Malakand police ordered to launch drive against outlaws.

SWAT -- Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan has ordered all the district police officers to conduct a comprehensive campaign to arrest absconders across Malakand division.

Presiding over the annual review meeting on performance of police in Malakand division, he said that all the scientific methods should be used in the campaign against absconders and all the details should be collected within 15 days.

The meeting was attended by district police officers of Swat, Shangla, Buner, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Lower Chitral, Upper Chitral and Bajaur besides other relevant officials.

The RPO said that people had expectations from police. He said that police should not harm the trust of people. 'All those, who are in Schedule IV, must be kept under strict surveillance,' he said. He added that no one would be allowed to disturb peace in the region.

'Police officers should work hard to investigate the anti-narcotics cases so that the accused involved in this heinous business can get real punishment and go behind bars,' he said.
