SUKKUR -- For Mai Kouri constructing a house would have been impossible, asshe wasliving under the poverty line. 'It was my dream to construct my own house, but how? It always remained a big question for me', she started narrating her story, while standing in one of the rooms of her tworoomed house, constructed under the Peoples Poverty Reduction Program, started by the Sindh government through Sindh Rural Support Organisation back in 2017 in some districts of Sindh including, Khairpur. Mai Kouri isthe resident of village Abdul Hakeem Shaikh of Union Council Rahoja taluka Kingri district Khairpur. She said, before construction of this two roomed house, she used to live in a hut at the same place, which was quite uncomfortable, as it was not able to safeguard my family from the severity of hot and cold weather.
