Locust attack repulsed in Chichawatni village.

SAHIWAL -- Timely and swift response of the agriculture department and the district administration repulsed the locusts attack at Chak 168/9-L and its surrounding villages of Chichawatni tehsil.

The swarms of locust had arrived in the district from Mian Channu, Khanewal and Jhang side and got settled at Chak 168/9-L, said Rana Habib, deputy director agriculture (extension).

The villagers approached the authorities and Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Javed issued alert to all the departments concerned.
