Living with Covid-19.

THE federal and provincial governments have further eased the lockdown. The duration of markets remaining open has been extended by two hours and they are to stay closed on weekends.

Keeping in view this fact, the number of virus-affected people is increasing exponentially each day, this decision may exacerbate an already alarming situation.

In these crucial times, it is difficult to prioritise the requisites a restoration of the already shattered economy or a containment of the deadly virus which has already been tightening its grip despite the lockdown.

There is a huge difference between our country and the developed countries. We cannot follow in their footsteps while combating the virus.

The attitude and behaviour of their citizens towards this virus is quite different and they have funds to cater to the nnancial losses in curred in these three months.

Whereas we were already facing financial crisis, and our economy was in a shambles prior to the pandemic, now we are on the very edge of a steep precipice.

Furthermore, our health sector cannot cater to large numbers of virus-affected patients.
