Literacy centres in district jail.

MUZAFFARGARH -- The Punjab Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department has established literacy centres in the district jail and conducted teachers induction training.

These centres will impart literacy skills to inmates, both men and women, in district jail of Muzaffargarh.Under the project, 12 literacy centres have been established under which 240 inmates will be imparted literacy and life skills. Prisoners will be given free books and stationery and teachers will be provided a monthly honorarium.
