Lightning kills young shepherd in Kohat.

KOHAT -- Lightning killed a shepherd boy in the mountains of Seni Gumbat here on Sunday, the police said.

SHO Fazal Khan told Dawn that they had received a report about the missing of a 16-year-old, Naimatullah. He said the police launched a hunt for him, and found his body near a pond in the mountains. He said the body was moved to a hospital where doctors conducted postmortem and confirmed he was killed by lightning. The body was handed over to relatives for burial.

GAS OUTAGE: Consumers in the Kohat city have assailed the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines for suspending gas supply before Iftar, and asked the deputy commissioner to order the company to ensure smooth supply during the fasting month.

The residents said they were forced to arrange food from restaurants and bakeries, which put extra financial burden on them. They complained that despite many reminders, the SNGPL had no 'mercy' on them. They also complained about low gas pressure.
