License of IHCBA secretary suspended over PIC riot.


ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) took notice of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) clash and suspended the license of Bar Association General Secretary Muhammad Umair Baloch for forcibly removing lawyers from the court during proceedings. Chief Justice IHC Athar Minallah issued a notice in this regard, while also suggesting to launch a contempt of court proceeding against him. The IHC has summoned the IHCBA general secretary for hearing on December 19, and till then suspend his license. On the other hand, advocate Tariq Asad filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court over PIC riot. Federal government, Secretary Punjab and IG have been made the party in the petition.
