Acting chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch, has greeted Senator Sirajul Haq, currently in Saudi Arabia, on his re-election to the top office of the party, and expressed the hope that the trust of the JI Members (Arkan) in his leadership would prove a good augury for the JIP. In his telephonic contact with Sirajul Haq, Liaqat Baloch expressed the confidence that under the leadership of Sirajul Haq, the JI would gain big successes in its goal of Islamic revolution.

Meanwhile, while addressing the Takmeel Bukahri ceremony of the Jamia Markaz Uloom Islamia, at Mansoora mosque, Liaqat Baloch said that the madrissahs were a great blessing for the humanity and if they stopped working, the humanity would die out. Liaqat Baloch said that the secular and irreligious elements were the greatest obstacle in the realization of the objectives of the creation of Pakistan.

These elements were linking the madrissahs with terrorism and extremism. He urged the government to give up its plans to control the madrissahs as it had already failed to run its schools and colleges. He...
