LHC sets aside plea of property tycoon filed to avoid conviction.

Rawalpindi -- Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi on Friday has rejected a petition filed by a property tycoon seeking dismissal of a private complaint filed against him by a kiln owner with a lower court while accusing him of grabbing his land illegally.

The court ordered the petitioner to file an application under 265-D of CrPc with the lower court. The lower court has fixed March 4, 2021 to frame charges against the petitioner (property tycoon).

According to details, the petitioner Chaudhry Abdul Majid, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zedem International and Faisal Town (Pvt) Limited, through his lawyer Taimoor Aslam Khan Advocate, filed a petition with LHC Rawalpindi while making District and Sessions Judge Izhar Shaukat, the kiln owner Syed Ameer Ali Shah and Syed Inayat Hussain Shah respondents.

In the petition, the petitioner stated he was accused by the respondent number 2, Izhar Shaukat, of storming into his leased land where he built a kiln along with men to grab it illegally.
