LHC CJ suspends notification giving judicial authority to commissioners, deputy commissioners.

LAHORE -- Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan on Thursday has suspended notification that gave judicial power to commissioners and deputy commissioners in Punjab.

According to details, Chief Justice of LHC Muhammad Qasim Khan expressed resentment over the performance of Punjab government and said that the provincial administration has devastated the system.

He also warned of serving contempt notice on the authorities who issued the notification.

Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and other responsible will be sent contempt of court notice if the notification gets annulled in case's final decision, the LHC CJ said.

In his arguments Nadeem Sarwar Advocate said that the powers of the executive and judiciary are different. He said that the notification is against the Article 2-A and Article 9 of the Constitution.
