Lesco staff 'heavily' trims small trees.

OKARA -- The Civil Lines city sub-division field staffers of Lahore Electric Supply Company on Thursday 'heavily' trimmed 116 small trees on 1.5-km long Rao Sikandar Road in the name of safety of 11-Kv electricity wires, violating the related instructions.

Reports said the Lesco staff cut branches of trees from District Complex bridge to Akbar Road stretch of Rao Sikandar Road [leaving just stems behind]. It seems the staff have done so to avoid such field duty for the next few years.

The [felled] trees had been planted some three years back and were not even touching electricity...
