Legislation under way to empower LGs, says minister.
HYDERABAD -- Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that legislation is under way to empower local government representatives.
He was speaking to reporters during his visit to the Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Institute of Psychiatry here on Thursday. Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Bikha Ram and other officials were present.
He said that the 18th Constitutional Amendment could be discussed for further improvement and proper devolution because it had to be implemented in letter and spirit.
