Lakki TMA set to shift cattle market outside city.

LAKKI MARWAT -- The local administration has given a green signal to the authorities of tehsil municipal administration to shift the cattle market outside urban locality ahead of Eidul Azha so as to ensure observance of standard operating procedures and protocols to prevent spread of coronavirus.

The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held here on Thursday with additional deputy commissioner Noorul Amin in the chair.

Livestock department's district director Dr Mubarak and officials of TMA, police and other departments were in attendance.

They discussed shifting of the market from Lakki city to a 50-kanal land along Manjiwala link road near Gambila river.

A TMA official told the meeting that the municipal administration had already acquired the land for cattle market outside the urban locality. He said shifting of cattle market to the new site would also prove helpful to ensure implementation of the relevant SOPs by the traders, buyers and other people.
