LAHORE is the heart of Punjab and its population has increased phenomenally. Lack of integrated development policies is a challenge for managing urbanisation.

There must be a limit on residing in Lahore for those who come from far-flung areas. This is possible by providing people facilities in their own cities, towns or villages. They have a right to have their own universities, colleges, hospitals and basic necessities of life. If these facilities are provided to them, it will help us control Lahore's population.

The built-up area in Lahore almost doubled between 1999 and 2011 and is expected to grow at a similar or even higher...
