LAC observes 'black day' to highlight Kashmir.

LAHORE -- Lahore Arts Council observed 'black day' on Sunday to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir at the Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall, while a painting exhibition was also held at the Alhamra Art Gallery to highlight the issue.

The exhibition that was also titled 'Black Day' was inaugurated by Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ather Ali Khan. It featured 130 or so paintings by 30 senior as well as young artists. The show narrated the story of Kashmir's struggle for independence through artworks.

The art fanciers took great interest in the exhibition which highlighted the atrocities being committed against the people of India held Kashmir and their struggle for freedom.
