LAC calls submissions for Young Artists Exhibition.

LAHORE -- The Lahore Arts Council (LAC) has made a call for submissions for its 19th annual Young Artists Exhibition at Alhamra Art Gallery, The Mall.

The young artists between the age of 20 to 32 can send their work to Alhamra by Feb 6.

This exhibition is an annual event and most promising feature of Alhamra, in which young artists from art institutes submit their artworks for the show. The artists can submit their works in the medium of painting, drawing, ceramics, print, video art, mixed media, installation, and composition. Each artist can submit two artworks selected by the authority concerned. The upcoming show is the 19th edition since 2005.

The Young Artist Exhibition is an art contest in which the 10 best artworks would receive a cash prize of Rs25,000 each. The winners would also get the Young Artist Award

AJOKA: Ajoka will showcase new writing and acting talent at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall on Jan 12 in dramatic readings of three new scripts written by the students of 17th batch of Ajoka Institute Art of writing course.

The courses are mentored by Ajoka Executive Director Shahid Nadeem. The scripts include Mind-Blowing, written by Sanawar Iqbal, a story about a psychologist with a strange approach...
