KU centre's research on Covid-19 globally acknowledged.

KARACHI -- A team of young researchers at the Dr Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, University of Karachi, has identified novel drug candidates effective against Covid-19.

To identify the novel drug candidates, the researchers' team, under the supervision of Dr Zaheer-ul-Haq Qasmi and Dr Reaz Uddin, used the state-of-the-art computational technology available at the Dr Panjwani Center that works under the umbrella of International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS).

An ICCBS statement issued on Sunday said the study, initiated in early February, was recently published in the Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics.
