KRC dedicates weekly card to Kashmiri people.

KARACHI -- The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has join hands to show solidarity with people of Indian occupied Kashmir by announcing staging of the Kashmir Cup during the Gymkhana race meeting at Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Besides the cup, the KRC has dedicated the remaining four races of the card to Kashmir Plate in different scale orders. Incidentally, the day coincides with the JUI F's Azadi March for the similar cause from Karachi to Islamabad.

The Kashmir Cup which is also days feature event, combined top scale order II, III and IV will see seven horses vying for honours barring last-minute withdrawal(s). The race will go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The fifth and supporting race under scale order IV and V has a field of half-a-dozen horses who will battle it out for honours in another four-and-a-half furlongs sprint.

At the outset, a good number of 10 horses will face the starter in the opening race to be run over four furlongs under lowest classification of scale order VIII.

The second race has six accepters while seven horses will figure in the third race.

Meanwhile, two horses - Adeel Prince and Galileo Lady - will make their debut in the opening race.

The first race starts at 2.45pm.

Adeel Prince 9-0, Galileo Lady 8-11, Mushki 8-7, Blue Point 8-6, Sana Choice 8-5, Rukhsar 8-5, Rich Venture 8-3, Aas Pass 8-2, Secret Of Life 8-1, Wifi 7-11.

Win: Secret Of Life.

Place: Rukhsar and Wifi.
