KP records highest deaths of Covid-19 in 24 hours.

PESHAWAR -- As seven more deaths were reported from KP and many as 39 confirmed cases of novel corona virus have been reported from the province during the last 24 hours, the KP government Tuesday warned the COVID-19 threat was increasing with each passing day. While the provincial metropolis Peshawar continued to reporting more cases compared to other parts of the province, two nurses working at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar tested positive for the corona virus on Tuesday.

After addition of new cases and deaths the toll of infected persons has mounted to 1,276 with 74 people succumbing to the deadly virus till date. According to KP Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra, the most affected areas are Peshawar and Malakand divisions, as 33 of Monday's 39 new cases were reported from these two parts of the province. The total death toll in KP stands at 74. Sindh has reported 61 deaths, Balochistan six, GilgitBaltistan three, Punjab 45 and Islamabad Capital Territory has reported three deaths.

The KP authorities have revealed that at least 10 patients in KP have been diagnosed with corona virus after their death. 'KP has tested suspected patients of COVID19 after they passed away to confirm their diagnosis.
