KMDC teachers stage protest for salaries.

KARACHI -- Senior faculty members of Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) staged a protest and sit-in against authorities concerned of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for not releasing funds for their salaries. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans. They said some 100 KMDC faculty members have not been paid salaries for last four months.

The protesters said they are performing duties at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and other health facilities and also continue teaching activities on regular basis but the KMC has failed to release funds for their salaries for past four months due to financial crisis.
